Network Administrator

Role Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled L2/L3 Network Administrator to join our team. This is a full-time remote position responsible for managing, troubleshooting, and optimizing network infrastructure, ensuring network security, and providing advanced technical support. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in network administration, excellent problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to maintaining high-performance network systems.

Role Description

• Manage and maintain network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and other networking equipment.

• Troubleshoot and resolve complex network issues to ensure optimal performance and minimal downtime.

• Monitor network performance and implement necessary optimizations and upgrades.

• Configure and maintain network security measures, including firewalls, VPNs, and access controls.

• Assist in the design and implementation of scalable network solutions.

• Perform routine network maintenance, updates, and patch management.

• Document network configurations, troubleshooting steps, and best practices.

• Collaborate with IT teams to support infrastructure and security initiatives.

• Provide technical guidance and support to junior IT staff as needed.
  
  

Qualifications

• Proven experience in an L2/L3 Network Administrator or similar role.

• Strong knowledge of networking protocols, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VLANs.

• Hands-on experience with configuring and managing Cisco, Juniper, or similar networking devices.

• Expertise in firewall configurations, VPN setups, and network security best practices.

• Familiarity with cloud networking and hybrid network environments (Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud).

• Proficiency in network monitoring tools such as Wireshark, SolarWinds, or PRTG.

• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

• Relevant certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, CompTIA Network+, or equivalent are a plus.

• Ability to work independently in a remote setting while maintaining strong collaboration with the team.
