Network Administrator
Role Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled L2/L3 Network Administrator to join our team. This is a full-time remote position responsible for managing, troubleshooting, and optimizing network infrastructure, ensuring network security, and providing advanced technical support. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in network administration, excellent problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to maintaining high-performance network systems.
Role Description
Manage and maintain network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and other networking equipment.
Troubleshoot and resolve complex network issues to ensure optimal performance and minimal downtime.
Monitor network performance and implement necessary optimizations and upgrades.
Configure and maintain network security measures, including firewalls, VPNs, and access controls.
Assist in the design and implementation of scalable network solutions.
Perform routine network maintenance, updates, and patch management.
Document network configurations, troubleshooting steps, and best practices.
Collaborate with IT teams to support infrastructure and security initiatives.
Provide technical guidance and support to junior IT staff as needed.
Qualifications
Proven experience in an L2/L3 Network Administrator or similar role.
Strong knowledge of networking protocols, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VLANs.
Hands-on experience with configuring and managing Cisco, Juniper, or similar networking devices.
Expertise in firewall configurations, VPN setups, and network security best practices.
Familiarity with cloud networking and hybrid network environments (Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud).
Proficiency in network monitoring tools such as Wireshark, SolarWinds, or PRTG.
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
Relevant certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, CompTIA Network+, or equivalent are a plus.
Ability to work independently in a remote setting while maintaining strong collaboration with the team.
