System Administrator

Role Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled L2/L3 System Administrator to join our team. This is a full-time remote position responsible for managing and troubleshooting complex system issues, maintaining network and server infrastructure, ensuring security compliance, and providing advanced technical support. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in system administration, excellent problem-solving abilities, and expertise in virtualization and cloud technologies.

Role Description

  • Manage and maintain server infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance and uptime.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex system issues, including software, hardware, and networking problems.

  • Implement and maintain security best practices, ensuring compliance with industry standards.

  • Configure and manage virtualization technologies, such as VMware, Hyper-V, or Proxmox.

  • Monitor system performance and implement necessary optimizations and upgrades.

  • Administer cloud services such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.

  • Perform routine system maintenance, updates, and patch management.

  • Document system configurations, troubleshooting procedures, and best practices.

  • Collaborate with IT teams to support infrastructure and security initiatives.

  • Provide technical guidance and support to junior IT staff as needed.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in an L2/L3 System Administrator or similar role.

  • Strong knowledge of Windows and Linux server administration.

  • Hands-on experience with virtualization technologies like VMware, Hyper-V, or Proxmox.

  • Expertise in cloud computing platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.

  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as PowerShell, Bash, or Python.

  • Experience with Active Directory, Group Policy, and system security best practices.

  • Familiarity with networking fundamentals and troubleshooting.

  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

  • Relevant certifications such as MCSA, MCSE, RHCSA, AWS Certified SysOps Administrator, or equivalent are a plus.

  • Ability to work independently in a remote setting while maintaining strong collaboration with the team.
